HON SESAN DAINI INAUGURATES SHOLUMADE- IREPODUN CDA, BAGS SPECIAL RECOGNITION AWARD

The Executive Chairman of Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA , Hon Sesan Daini has on Saturday 14th July, 2018 formally inaugurates the Sholumade-Irepodun Community Development Association located at Macaulay Estate, Baiyeku community in the LCDA.

The formal inauguration of the association, which signalled formal registration and government recognition was witnessed by hundreds of excited residents and members of the CDA. The event marked a major watershed in the history of the young CDA that has embarked on several self-help community development projects in the past few years before its formal recognition and registration with the government.

In his brief remarks before presenting the certificate of recognition to the body, the Executive Chairman of Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA, Hon Sesan Daini commended the CDA for its numerous developmental initiatives, even before its formal inauguration.

‘I took my time to read through the programme of event yesterday, I was highly impressed by the numerous projects you have embarked upon on your own, even before you are formally inaugurated. And, if you have achieved this much within your short time in existence, I can begin to imagine what you would have achieved within the next two to three years’ he said.

Hon Daini subsequently charged the CDC Chairman of Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA to brace up and be on the look out for the newly inaugurated CDA as they are the emerging CDA to beat in the LCDA. As a mark of honour and recognition for the Chairman,  the CDA executive also presented a special award of recognition to Hon Daini for his exemplary leadership in Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA.

A major highlight of the event was the formal launch of the community’s N20 Million Re-Electrification Fund Raising Project. The event also featured the presentation of awards of recognition to outstanding members of the community, for their contribution towards the development of the community.

An 8-month old baby boy, Sulaiman Bello also stole the show at the event, as he was given a special award of recognition and donation of a pack of pampers by the road committee, for all the rigour he went through, with his mum, during the road construction project.

Chief among guests who graced the event were Hon Sesan Daini, Mrs Jinadu Oshodi, Supervisor for Agric and Social Developments and the nee DPO, Igbogbo police station, CSP Ifeanyi Ohu, among other distinguished guests.
