OBA SHOTOBI’S 3RD CORONATION ANNIVERSARY: NURTW LEADER, ALH. WALIU DAISI BAGS ‘OMO-NLA’ OF IKORODU TITLE

As part of the week-long activities lined up to commemorate his 3rd coronation anniversary as the Ayangbure and Paramount ruler of Ikorodu Kingdom, HRM, Oba Kabir Adewale Shotobi has conferred a honourary chieftaincy title of ‘Omonla’ of Ikorodu on one of the sons of the soil, and a leader of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), in person of Otunba Waliu Daisi.

Daisi, a  business man, transporter and Chairman, WADLAS Nigeria Limited is the Chairman, NURTW Ikorodu chapter.

Explaining the rationale behind the honourary chieftaincy title, Oba Shotobi explained that, Otunba Waliu’s humility, sense of responsibility and commitment to the cause of Ikorodu earned him the honour.

He added that Otubna Waliu is one a son of Ikorodu he is so proud of, stating that the honourary chieftaincy title of ‘Omonla’ of Ikorodu was a first-of-its-kind title in Ikorodu.
