WE MUST ALL COME TOGETHER AND WORK FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF IKORODU TOWN, ABIRU, ELESHO CHARGE IKORODU ELITES AT HOME AND IN DIASPORA

Chairman of Ikorodu Oga Development Association IKODASS, Otunba Ganiyu Olusegun Abiru has called on Ikorodu elites at home and in the diaspora to support IKODASS and work for the development of Ikorodu community.

Abiru made this call while answering questions from journalists on the sideline of the 2019 IKODASS Walk for Fitness exercise. The walk featured youth groups, community stakeholders and IKODASS member-clubs and associations.

‘Ikorodu is our town and we do not have another town to call our own, I am begging on all our sons and daughters, particularly the elites within and outside the shores of Nigeria to please, come to Ikorodu and let us join hands together to develop our community. They should please heed my Macedonia call for them to come to Macedonia to help’, he said.

‘I am appealing to all our prominent elites who have refused to identify with the community that, whatsoever we have done to offend or hurt any of them, I am using this medium to beg them to please, forgive and forget

Corroborating Abiru’s call, a former Commissioner for Information in Lagos State, Otunba Ayodele Elesho also added his voice to the call, charging Ikorodu sons and daughters to come back home and support the growth and development of the community.

In his words. ‘I am appealing to all sons and daughters of Ikorodu at home and in diaspora, to please come home and let us join hands together to build thois community. Ikorodu is blessed with many illustrious sons and daughters but, surprisingly many of them have not been actively involved in the development of this town. This is not god enough’.

Elesho further charged residents to troop out en masse and participate in all the 2019 Ikorodu Oga Day activities for the event to be a success.
