IKORODU IS MUCH SAFER NOW, LAGOS CP, EDAGL IMOHIMI

The negative security concerns and criminal narratives about Ikorodu community may have finally changed for good. This goodnews was shared by the Commissioner of Police in Lagos State, Edgal Imohimi who stated that, Ikorodu community is a much safer place to live and do business in Lagos state.

This, according to the police boss was as a result of the intensive surveillance efforts of the his men across the riverine areas of Ikorodu community. The police chief also seized the opportunity to commend the the Lagos state government for the immense equipment and logistic support being provided for the police in the state.

Imohimi stated this when featuring as a guest on TVC News programme on Friday, March 2nd, 2018.

‘Yes, Ikorodu is much safer now. I must commend the efforts of the Lagos state government for the procurement of new gun boat for our men to carry out surveillance across the riverine areas of the community. There is also an inter-agency collaboration between security agencies in the state to end criminal activities in the area’.

Recall that about 500 repentant cultists recently laid down their weapons and submitted same to the police commissioner at the Ayangbure palace in February during a programme tagged, ‘Ikorodu for Peace’. This was in demonstration of their readiness to embrace peace and end gang war in the division.
