IKORODU SHOPRITE: WASIU ADESHINA DID NOT SELL IKORODU LOCAL GOVERNMENT SECRETARIAT, OBA KABIR ADEWALE SHOTOBI

In what seems like an apparent  response to criticisms from some concerned Ikorodu stakeholders on the purported sale of the Ikorodu local government secretariat to South Africa owned leading chain store, Shoprite, Oba Kabir Adewale Shotobi, the Ayangbure and paramount ruler of Ikorodu kingdom has cleared the air on the rumour.

Oba Shotobi made the clarification at the first year anniversary event of Hon Wasiu Adeshina-led  Ikorodu local government executive which was held on Wednesday,  August 1st, 2018 at the Ikorodu local government secretariat., along TOS Benson road, Ikorodu.

According to Oba Shotobi, ‘Wasiu did not and has not sold Ikorodu local government to Shoprite. I can never allow such a thing and it will never happen. The development of Ikorodu is what is paramount to all of us. This is what the governor, Mr Akinwunmi Ambode is trying to make happen in our life time’, the Monarch said.

Oba Shotobi, however advised those peddling the negative rumour to desist from doing so. He urged concerned stakeholders to ask questions and get the right explanations, rather than spreading unhealthy rumours.

Earlier, Oba Shotobi commended the Ikorodu local government Chairman, Hon Wasiu Adeshina for his sterling performance and achievements in office, within the last 365 days, stating that he was proud of his achievements, so far.
