An aspirant for the Ikorodu Constituency 1 seat at the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon Yinka Majekodunmi, popularly called Majek by his teeming supporters has pledged his commitment to sponsor free school transport shuttle service for the benefit of school students in Ikorodu Constituency 1. He noted that the free bus service will run from Odongunyan to garage axis of the community, if elected to represent the constituency in 2019.
Majekodunmi made the pledge while addressing his teeming supporters and party members at his official declaration of intent ceremony at his Odonguyan base, Ikorodu North LCDA.
The youthful aspirant, who is a middle-level officer with the Lagos State government also promised to work towards improving on the current state of infrastructures in Ikorodu, with the promise to make Ikorodu as beautiful as Lekki and Ajah ares of Lagos State, when elected.
The aspirant also promised to use his membership of the house to bring the much desired dividends of democracy to residents of Ikorodu constituency 1.
An APC chieftain and former Chairmanship aspirant for Ikorodu North LCDA, Hon Mathew Adesanya commended the aspirant for taking the bold steps, while advising party members not to compromise during the forthcoming party primaries.
A representative of the Arewa community, Alhaji M.D Hassan who spoke on behalf of the Hausa community pledged his support and that of the entire Hausa community to the candidacy of Hon Majekodunmi.
Clearing the air on the rumour making the rounds that Hon. Majekodunmi’s ambition is being sponsored by Hon S.O.B Agunbiade, his campaign director, Mr Abagun Isiaka stated that the rumour was the handiwork of mischief-makers and should be disregarded by party members.
