In an exclusive chat with Ikorodu Oga Radio, Hon Benson started by appreciating the good people of Ikorodu division for finding him worthy of their mandate to represent them for a second term at the lower chamber of the national assembly.

‘I feel elated and honoured by the overwhelming support given to me by the good people of Ikorodu federal constituency at last Saturday’s election. I promise not to take their mandate for granted. I will double my efforts in this second term by attracting more federal presence and developmental projects to my people’, stated an elated Hon Benson.

Speaking on his second term agenda at the House of Representatives, the erudite lawmaker noted that, though he concentrated more on education and job creation in his first term in office, he will give more attention to youth empowerment,  ICT education and follow up on the concession of Ikorodu lighter terminal in order to create business and employment opportunities for residents in his second term in office.

In his words, ‘In my second term, I will concentrate more on job creation and economic empowerment for the youths of my constituency.  The employment index in Ikorodu is alarming, I will work hard to bridge the gap’, he said.

Hon Benson added that, ‘I will also follow up on the planned concession of the Ikorodu lighter terminal within my constituency to make it more viable in order to increase the GDP and promote employment opportunities’.

On ICT, Hon Jimi Benson stated that, ‘unlike my first term where I focused more on education, this time around, I intend to promote ICT education and empowerment for our youths, this is with a view to turning Ikorodu into an ICT hub’, he submitted.
