A security man, attached to the Lagos State Polytechnic, Ikorodu Campus has reportedly killed one of his colleagues over an undisclosed argument.
The security staff, (name withheld) reportedly killed his colleague in an ensuing argument over a matter that is yet undisclosed.
Lanre Kuye, public relations officer of Lagos State Polytechnic explained that the unfortunate incident happened in the night. He added that colleagues of the accused are suspecting that he planned to use the deceased body parts for ritual purposes as he was caught trying to cut off his head having succeeded in cutting off his two hands.
He however noted that, though the security men were on duty at the Polytechnic campus when the sad incident occurred, he revealed that they are not staff of the institution but are employees of a security company handling security staff outsourcing for the Polytechnic.
Kuye disclosed that the culprit has been arrested and handed over to the Police for further investigation, while the body of the deceased has been deposited at the mortuary.
