RELEIF AS HON JIMI BENSON’S APO AANU FOOD BANK REACHES OUT TO HUNDREDS OF INDIGENT IKORODU RESIDENTS FOR THE 3RD YEAR RUNNING

For the third year running, the humanitarian gesture of Hon Babajimi Benson, member, representing Ikorodu federal constituency came to the fore again on Saturday,  12th October, 2019 when the I-Care Food Bank brought relief to the faces of hundreds of indigent resident of Ikorodu division.

The I-Care Food Bank, otherwise known as ‘Apo-Aanu’, Mercy Bag was launched in 2016 by Hon Benson to commemorate the annual World Food Bank Day. However, the caring federal legislator have had to sustain the free food distribution exercise on seeing the level of hunger and poverty among his constituents.

Saturday’s distribution is the October edition of the monthly free food distribution exercise, which has drawn accolades and commendations to the amiable Ikorodu born legislator.

Hundreds of beneficiaries defied the early morning heavy downpour to take part in the free distribution exercise and to have a feel of the legislator’s caring heart. They include the aged, widowed, unemployed and less privileged across the length and breadth of Ikorodu Division as a whole.
