Publishers of the Made-in-Ikorodu Marketplace Directory, Ikorodu Oga Radio and Ikorodu Oga Development Association (IKODASS) are leaving no stone unturned to ensure a successful public presentation of the publication.
An indication to this is the line-up of important personalities and dignitaries that have confirmed their readiness to attend the epoch-making event, to hold as part of week-long activities lined up for the 2019 Ikorodu Oga Day celebrations which commences on Saturday, 9th November, 2019.
Mr Adebayo Sodade, the Special Adviser to Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwoolu on Budget and Economic Planning will be Chairman of the event, while Mr Fola Tinubu, MD/CEO of Primero Transport Nigeria Limited, operators of the Lagos Blue BRT buses will be the Chief Launcher at the event.
Speaking on the importance of the publication, Otunba Ganiyu Olusegun Abiru, Chairman Ikorodu Oga Development Association who is also the Chief Host of the event noted that, ‘we are leaving no stone unturned to ensure we have a successful event on Monday. The Made-in-Ikorodu Marketplace Directory highlights IKODASS commitment towards an all-round development of Ikorodu community, through the annual Ikorodu Oga Day celebration’.
‘When we came on board in 2017, we started giving themes to every annual Ikorodu Oga Day celebration. This is meant to demonstrate our determination to take the annual event beyond cultural displays and merry making to a celebration that adds value to the economic progress and development of Ikorodu. The production of this directory, Ikorodu Trade Expo and other initiatives are steps towards achieving this goal’, he said.
The Made-in-Ikorodu Marketplace Directory publication is the initiative of Ikorodu Oga Radio- Nigeria’s first online community radio, in partnership with IKODASS.
The public presentation event is slated for Monday, 11th November, 2019 at the Main Hall of the Ikorodu Ultra Modern Town Hall.
