LAGOS COVID-19 LOCKDOWN: IKORODU CONSTITUENCY II LAWMAKER, HON. N.S SOLAJA EMBARKS ON DOOR-TO-DOOR FOOD SUPPORT TO 3,000 HOUSEHOLDS, AGED

The lawmaker representing Ikorodu Constituency 2 at the House of Assembly, who also doubles as House Chairman on Public Accounts Committee (PAC), Hon. Nurudeen Saka Solaja on Saturday April 3rd, 2020 officially wrapped up his door-to-door free food distribution to 3,000 residents in Ikorodu Constituency 2, comprising of Ijede, Igbogbo and Imota LCDAs, to compliment the ongoing Lagos State COVID-19 Emergency Food Response led Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

The door-to-door food support campaign which was primarily designed for the vulnerable with a stern focus on the aged was received with prayers by Hon. Solaja constituents who were caught unaware at different collection points.

The distribution train which started from Ijede major highbrow areas, down to Imota and stopped at Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA was purely non-partisan as Bibire Movement led by Hon. Odumade roved through the towns to gift out the food items with the intent of mitigating the lock down impact on the people

Hon Solaja noted, ‘that strict adherence to Federal and State Governments’ directives will go a long way in taming the global pandemic’.

He also encouraged members of Constituency to remain steadfast in the face of the current challenge.

‘Our collective struggles, civil obedience, and united strengths will bring Coronavirus to its knees’, Solaja added.
