EID-EL KABIR: HON JIMI BENSON GIVES 300 I-CARE FOOD BAGS, 108 BAGS OF RICE TO CONSTITUENTS AND PARTY FAITHFULS

In fulfillment of his earlier promise to distribute the August ration of the free food support to the less- privileged across Ikorodu constituency before the Eid-el Kabir celebration, Hon Babajimi Benson, Member, representing Ikorodu Federal Constituency in the lower chamber of the national assembly has made good his promise, by giving out the monthly I-Care food bags to about 300 beneficiaries. Hon Jimi Benson made the promise at the distribution of the July ration of the food bank.

Similarly, Hon Benson has also distributed three (3) bags of rice each, to All Progressives Congress’ 30 wards and six (6) LGAs across Ikorodu division, as a way of ensuring that they have a memorable Sallah celebration.

Explaining the reason behind the distribution of the food bags on a Friday, contrary to the usual Saturdays, Mayor Deen Sanwoola, Director-General, I-Care Movement explained that Friday, 25th August, 2017 was chosen, to accommodate beneficiaries from Imota who would n

ot be able to come on Saturday, 26th August, due to the restriction of movement in the town, owing to the community’s ‘Oro’ festival slated for the day.

The food bags, containing various food items, ranging from rice, bean

s, garri and groceries were handed to the elated beneficiaries at the legislator’s c

onstituency office along Ebute-Igbogbo road, Ikorodu. Hon Benson who was unavoidably absent at the distribution of the food bags sent special Sallah greetings and prayers to the beneficiaries.
