A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress and the Chairman of all APC LGA / LCDA party chairmen in Ikorodu division, Evang. Falohun has described Hon Jimi Benson as the best performing member to have represented Ikorodu federal constituency at the green chamber.
Hon Falohun, made this statement when making remarks at the first anniversary of the I-Care Food Bank monthly feeding programme, sponsored by the federal lawmaker. The event coincided with the annual commemoration of the world food day, which inspired the lehislator’s food bank project.
Falohun said’ ‘ those who know me know that I am a very blunt person. If Jimi Benson was not performing, I would still have said it to his face. But, I am so happy that he has made some of us proud and has therefore proven himself as a man who is worthy of our support’ he said.
Going down memory lane, Evang. Falohun added’ ‘when he came in 2015, many of our people criticized us for supporting him, a new comer. They complained that we were going to make a mistake of making Jimi Benson rub us of democracy dividends in Ikorodu. Today, Jimi has proven every doubting thomases wrong.’
Towing the same line, another party chieftain, Alh Enifeni who said he was one of those who did not support Jimi Benson in 2015 for reasons best known to him. ‘Though, I did not support Jimi Benson in 2015, for reasons best known to me and Jimi himself. However, despite that, Jimi has never left me alone since his election. He has always been carrying me along. Today, I declare my support for your second term come 2019’.
Hon Wasiu Adeshina, executive Chairman, Ikorodu Central also added his voice to the stream of encomiums being poured on Jimi Benson and his wife, ‘Before Hon Jimi Benson became our representative, we used to think that once we elect a representative at the national assembly, we can only see them on television, considering the far distance. We never thought we could have a member of the house of reps that will be given us free monthly food and frequent feedbacks on his activities in Abuja’.
Responding, Hon Babajimi Benson expressed gratitude to party APC chieftains and members of his constituency for their prayers and unalloyed support since he won the elections in 2015. Hon Besnon also seized the occasion to announce that he has been able to fulfill all his campaign promises to his constituents within two and half years in the house.
