A Frontline Ikorodu Division APC Chieftain and Environmental Consultant, Otunba Amid Adekunle Oduborisa has congratulated the newly inaugurated members of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Ikorodu Constituency 1 and 2, Hon Ogunleye Gbolahan Adetokunbo and Abiodun Aro Moshood on their historic inauguration.
Ogunleye is the member, representing Ikorodu Constituency 1, while Aro represents Ikorodu Constituency 2.
The duo were inaugurated alongside other members of the Lagos State House of Assembly yesterday when the Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu performed the formal proclamation of the 10th Assembly.
Oduborisa also charged the lawmakers to be good representatives of Ikorodu Division, by providing quality representation for the Division.
He further counseled the state lawmakers to ensure they sustain the good legacies of their predecessors in office by promoting people-oriented bills, motions and welfare.
‘While congratulating our new state lawmakers, I want to charge them to hit the ground running in meeting the expectations of their teeming constituents’, he added.
‘They must start introducing people- oriented resolutions on d floor of the house. For instance, Agura-Gberighe road is in a bad state and for Lagos State to truly make Imota Rice Mill become the bread basket for the country, the road need to be placed on government priority to ease movement of goods back and forth. There’s a need for an urgent intervention’, he added.
