Earlier today, Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu and his Deputy, Dr. Obafemi Kadiri Hamzat were received at the Legislative Chambers of the Lagos State House of Assembly for the official inauguration of the 10th assembly were held.
Sanwo-Olu disclosed this on his official social media handle today.

Today, at the Proclamation of the 10th Lagos State House of Assembly, I spoke of the essential role the legislature plays in our democracy.
The legislature is a crucial partner in our quest for good governance and this Assembly is a testament to the strength of our democracy and the commitment of Lagosians to the pursuit of excellence.
The inauguration of this Assembly and the election of its principal officers today reminds us that the principles of fairness, respect for majority rule and protection of the rights of the minority are the bedrock of our democracy.
In that vein, hearty congratulations to Hon. Mudashiru Obasa and Hon. Mojisola Miranda for emerging the Hon. Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the 10th Assembly.
I stand ready to work with the 10th Assembly, collaborating to drive impactful policies and fostering an environment where the hopes and dreams of every Lagosian can be realized.
I also believe in the leadership of 10th House of Assembly and I am confident that our collective efforts will usher in an era of unprecedented growth and development for Lagos State.
