The Ikorodu Division Peace Initiative (IDPIL) is set to commemorate her 3rd anniversary in grand style.
The body, which was formed in 2021 through the intervention of Ikorodu Division Royal Fathers and key stakeholders was formally inaugurated on 9th March, 2022.
The organization’s local peace and security arm, otherwise known as IDPIL-LJTF or ‘Idagiri-Ekun’ in Yoruba Language is instrumental to the drastic reduction in the spate of cult-clashes, armed robbery and land grabbing activities that was once commonplace across Ikorodu Division communities few years ago.
The body, Chaired by High Chief Adewunmi Ogunsanya, SAN and Chairman of Multichoice Nigeria Ltd who also doubles as the Odofin of Ikorodu has also delved into the other developmental activities like the N30 Million Naira Annual Scholarship and Bursary Award, renovation of dilapidated school structures, installation of street lights among other initiatives under its SHEER Development Agenda.
To commemorate her landmark 3rd anniversary and showcase her score card of achievements, IDPIL is set to transmit her commemorative T.V Documentary on Africa Magic Family Channel on DSTV and GOTV.
The Executive Secretary of IDPIL, Otunba Ganiyu Olusegun Abiru, FICA in an exclusive chat with Ikorodu Oga Radio thanked Ikorodu Division Royal Fathers and stakeholders for supporting the initiative.
Abiru equally congratulated Ikorodu Division residents on the 3rd anniversary, describing the body’s achievements in the past three years as a result of collective efforts, while enjoining them to be on the look out for the T.V Documentary on Africa Magic T.V Channel from Thursday 6th June.
