The Chairman, House of Reps Committee on Defence, Rep Babajimi Adegoke Benson whose 53rd birthday is today has disclosed that his life is a testament of God’s Grace.
Benson who represents Ikorodu Federal Constituency in the House of Reps disclosed this on Sunday while thanking God for the opportunity to celebrate his 53rd birthday anniversary alive and well.
The Ikorodu Federal Lawmaker in a special birthday message to himself on his Facebook wall titled, “My 53rd Birthday: A Testament to God’s Grace”, recounts God’s Grace and Faithfulness over his life, while acknowledging that, only God’s Grace could have brought him this far.

My 53rd Birthday: A Testament to God’s Grace
A birthday is not a day to get older, but a moment to grow wiser – Unknown
Today, I stand in awe of God’s grace—His unmerited favor that has carried me through every season of life. At 53, I can boldly say that His hand has been upon me, guiding, strengthening, and sustaining me through every challenge and triumph.
2 Corinthians 12:9 reminds me: “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Through the highs and lows, His grace has been my anchor, my source of peace, and my reason to keep moving forward.
I celebrate this new year with a heart full of gratitude, knowing that the same grace that has brought me this far will continue to lead me into greater purpose. May my life always be a reflection of His goodness, mercy, and unending love.
