The Executive Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government, Hon Wasiu Adeshina yesterday increased access to clean drinking water to the good people of Ward F in the Council area with the commissioning of another borehole project.
The water project, which is the second one the Council boss will commission in the ward this year was facilitated by the Special Adviser to the Chairman on Women Affairs, Alh. Rashidat Bello, who also doubles as the Ikorodu Division APC Woman Leader.
In the words of Adeshina, there cannot be a thriving community without access to clean water or quality water supply, hence the project.
Adesina, while address the gathering stated that, though his administration has barely six months left in office, he vowed not to relent in his administration’s commitment towards uplifting the living standards of the residents of the Council area through provision of infrastructures, economic empowerment, medical interventions, food palliatives and much more till his last day in office.
In a demonstration of his commitment, Adeshina also announced the planned construction of two-side drainage at Osholigbeyin street, in Ward F, while pledging to embark on more borehole projects across different wards before the end of year 2024.
The project facilitator and WADESH Woman Leader, Alh Rasheedat Bello commended Adeshina for his support for her and the entire good people of Ward F since the inception of his administration.
Similarly, Councillor representing Ward F, Hon. Oluwakemi Buraimoh thanked the Council boss for bringing succour to residents of the ward, through the borehole project.
Other community stakeholders and top APC Chieftains in attendance also commended Adeshina for his good job.
