CHRISTMAS: RELIEF AS 500 INDIGENT IKORODU FEDERAL CONSTITUENTS RECEIVE FOOD SUPPORT FROM REP BENSON’S I-CARE FOOD BANK

In line with his commitment towards ensuring that no family goes to bed hungry in all parts of the Ikorodu Division, about 500 indigent families drawn from different parts of Ikorodu Federal Constituency today, received their share of the monthly iCare Food Bank support of Honourable Babajimi Benson.

The monthly food outreach is coming barely two weeks to the much-anticipated Christmas celebration on December 25.

Many recipients of the food palliative have confessed that the support was a great relief to them, as they were initially disturbed about their fate ahead of the Christmas celebration, but for timely intervention by Rep Benson.

Mr. Chris, a beneficiary from Ward G, Gberigbe expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Hon. Babajimi Benson for his kindness.

He stated that, considering the current economic situation, it was clear that the government was making efforts. He also encouraged other residents to take advantage of opportunities like the iCare Food Bank, in future.

‘May God continue to bless him so he can extend his blessings to others’, he prayed.

Mrs. Adeshewa, a first time beneficiary, also expressed gratitude to Rep Benson for bringing relief to her family.

Mrs. Adeshewa conveyed her gratitude to Hon. Babajimi Benson, encouraging him to continue with his good works.

Another beneficiary, who simply gave her name as Yetunde, thanked the organizers for the timely intervention in the light of the current economic reality.

Similarly, Mrs. Odunowo Folashade, emphasized the significance of the food bank initiative, particularly during this challenging season.

She reiterated the importance of feeding families, stating that it was equivalent to saving lives.

She concluded by acknowledging the positive impact the food support was making on the community.
