Members of A+ Disciples, a political group founded by a former Acting Commissioner for Arts & Culture in Lagos State, Hon Bimpe Akinshola have said that the recent endorsements of Gov Akinwunmi Ambode for second term across Ikorodu division and Lagos state in general was a vindication of the group’s earlier endorsement of the governor sometimes in June 2017.
Hon Akinsola stated that, ‘I can categorically state that A+ Disciples are the first group all over Lagos State to formally endorse Gov Akinwunmi Ambode for second term in office. All the groups now endorsing the governor are only following the footsteps of our group’.
She likened the formation of A+ Disciples to the leadership of Jesus Christ, who appointed 12 disciples who assisted him to propagate the gospel to the ends of the earth.
‘A+ Disciples are committed party men and women, they are the party’s mouthpiece and foot soldiers who helps to propagate the good works and achievements of our performing governor, Gov Akinwunmi Ambode to the nooks and cranny of the state’ she said.
Speaking further, Hon Akinsola admonished members of the group to ensure they get their permanent voters card to make them become good examples and disciples, stating that doing otherwise will not be acceptable.
Selected members of the group were also empowered with branded Coca Cola umbrellas and coolers for selling cold drinks. Other lucky members whose numbers were randomly selected went home with Ankara textile materials.
