Members of the Lagos State House of Assembly at their sitting today have impeached the Speaker of the Assembly.
Though, details of what led to his impeachment is still sketchy, as at the time of filing this report, his impeachment may not be unconnected to the recent face-off between him and the Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu.
In the meantime, Hon. Mojisola Meranda (Apapa 1) has been sworn in as new speaker.
