On this solemn occasion of Armed Forces Remembrance Day, we pay tribute to the extraordinary courage, dedication and sacrifices of our gallant Armed Forces. Their steadfast commitment to defending our nation continues to inspire hope and unity among Nigerians.
Our Armed Forces have achieved remarkable successes in addressing critical security challenges, including the fight against insurgency, banditry, oil theft, kidnapping, and other forms of criminality.
Their efforts in countering emerging threats, such as cyber security risks, further underscore their adaptability and professionalism in safeguarding our nation in a rapidly evolving world.
It is in recognition of these achievements that I moved the motion at plenary for the House to commemorate the Armed Forces Rememberance day and commend the Nigerian military for their remarkable successes.
Indeed, their vigilance in defending our territorial integrity and protecting lives and property inspires confidence and pride.
We also honor the memory of our fallen heroes, whose selfless sacrifices remain the foundation of the peace and stability we strive to achieve.
Their legacy reminds us of the cost of our freedom and the collective responsibility we owe to ensure their sacrifices are never forgotten.
On behalf of the House Committee on Defence, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to all serving and retired members of the Armed Forces and assure them of our unwavering support in advancing their welfare and operational capacity.
Your dedication to duty and selfless service remain a beacon of hope for a more secure and prosperous Nigeria.
May the souls of our fallen heroes rest in perfect peace and may God continue to bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
