Wife of the Executive Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government, Mrs Bolanle Adeshina has appealed to well-meaning individuals in the Council area and beyond to show love and support to the less privileged members of their communities.
Mrs Adeshina stated this yesterday on the sidelines of the Annual Ikorodu Local Government Thanksgiving programme held at the local government Secretariat.
The Council Chairperson noted that supporting the less-privileged was the only way we can truly be our brothers and sisters keepers, as instructed by God.

Speaking further, Mrs Adeshina revealed that the Annual Thanksgiving programme organized by the Council was a covenant event between her and God.
She disclosed that she entered into a covenant with God ahead of the emergence of her husband as the Executive Chairman of the Local Government gears ago.
‘Prior to the emergence of my husband as the Executive Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government, I prayed to God to favour him. Afterwards, I also asked God to help him run a successful administration, promising that I will build him an altar of thanksgiving where I will always return to give him my thanksgiving offering annually’, she said.

‘Apart from that, I also use the event as a platform for supporting the less-privileged members of the community. The widows, widowers and single parents. They need our support and encouragement and that is exactly what we have been doing for many years’, she added.
