Persons Living With Disabilities (PWD), shortlisted across 16 LGAs/LCDAs in Lagos East Senatorial District, have benefitted from empowerment training facilitated by Senator Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru, FCA, through Nigeria Export Processing Zones Authority (NEPZA).
At the two-day training sessions held at Ikorodu, beneficiaries were trained in money making skills, including Social Media Strategy and Digital Marketing, Skill Monetization, and Bead Making with a grant of One hundred thousand naira (N100,000). The training empowered participants with practical skills and knowledge that enhance their ability to leverage digital platforms for personal growth, economic empowerment, and business development.
Prior to this, hundreds of constituents have benefitted from various skill acquisition programmes, empowerment, grants and cash support. Also included are the various support and farm inputs,including fertilizers facilitated for local farmers across Lagos East Senatorial District.
This empowerment has again reinforced the commitment of Senator Abiru to inclusive development and opportunities for the people of Lagos East, promoting initiatives where every individual, regardless of their physical challenges, can thrive and contribute meaningfully to economic development of the nation.
