Four days after his promotion to the rank of Commissioner of Police, the Officer in Charge of Inspector-General of Police Monitoring Unit, Mr Garuba Umar has been appointed as the new Commissioner of Lagos State to replace Fatai Owoseni after a reshufflement from the Force Headquarters in Abuja.
The new Commissioner of Police in Lagos State, Garuba Umar once served as the Divisional Police Officer in Ikoyi, Lagos State, and as Mobile Police Unit 19 Commander in in River State. Meanwhile, his predecessor and former Lagos Commissioner of Police, Fatai Owoseni has proceeded on course to the National Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), in Kuru Jos, Plateau State.
Also in the redeployment move of the Nigeria Police Force, former Force Headquarters Spokesman, Don Awumah, who was decorated as Commissioner of Police week, has been deployed to Akwa Ibom Police Command.
