The Chairman, Senate Committee on Industries, Distinguished Senator Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru, FCA was at the commissioning of the Dangote Fertilizer Plant in Ibeju- Lekki Lagos.
The Senator representing the Lagos East Senatorial joined other eminent personalities including the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Senate President, Dr. Ahmad Lawan, House of Representatives Speaker, Rt Hon Femi Gbajabiamila, Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Otunba Niyi Adebayo, Minister of State for Petroleum Resources,
His Excellency, Chief Timpre Syva.
Others include: Minster of State for Health, Dr. Olorunnibe Mamora, Former Commissioner of Finance, Mr Olawale Edun, Senator Olamilekan Adeola, Senator Adams Aleiro, captains of industries, religious leaders and first class monarchs among others to witness the historic event.
His Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR commissioned the $2.5billion fertiliser plant reputed to be the largest in Africa. The plant capacity is 3 Million Tonnes of Urea Per Year.
After the commissioning of the fertilizer plant, Dangote Group President, Alhaji Aliko Dangote , in the company of President Muhammadu Buhari and other dignitaries led the tour of the massive Dangote Refinery with capacity to refine 650,000 barrels of crude oil per day.
