There is a major change of baton in The Exclusives Club, one of the foremost social clubs in Ikorodu.
The newly elected Chairman of the leading social club is a former Lagos State Head of Service, who is also the immediate past Chairman, Lagos State Local Government Service Commission, Bashorun Babatunde Tajudeen Rotinwa.
Alhaji Rotinwa took over the mantle of leadership of the A-List Club from his predecessor, Alh Waliu Allison who has served the club meritoriously for two years.
Until his latest election, Rotinwa had served as the Chairman, Ikorodu Division Resources Development Group (IDRDG) before handing over to the incumbent, a former Senator and former Minister for Works, Senator Adeseye Ogunlewe.
Rotinwa will be formally inaugurated as the club’s Chairman alongside his team of executive members at the Club House in February, 2023.
Speaking shortly after his election, Rotinwa pledged his commitment to uphold the virtues of the foremost social club, while promising to reposition it to become a pride of all members at home and in diaspora.
He also promised to use his good office as the Chairman of the foremost social club to call the attention of government at all levels to the development needs of Ikorodu Division as a whole.
In his brief remarks after Rotinwa’s formal inauguration, his bossom childhood friend and Chairman, Ikorodu Division Resources Development Group (IDRDG) who spoke on behalf of the ‘Committee of Friends’ applauded the choice of Rotinwa as the new Chairman of the foremost club.
Ogunlewe described Bashorun Babatunde Tajudeen Rotinwa as a man of great wisdom and intellect who boasts of very wide network of friends and contacts across social and religious class.
