The newly elected leader of Ikorodu local government legislative council, Hon Issa Abayomi has described his emergence as an act of God. A visibly overwhelmed Abayomi who was shocked beyond words, stated this shortly after his inauguration by the clerk of the house, Mr Dahunsi Abiodun .
Speaking with Ikorodu Oga Radio, Abayomi said, ‘My emergence is simply the wonderful act of God in my life. Starting from the race to my emergence as the House leader, I am too shocked and I give glory to God’.
The new leader also promised to reconcile all aggrieved members of the house, especially those entangled in the leadership tussle of the house. He said, ‘I will make sure I reconcile all my people, in order for us to have a united house’.
On the expectations of the people from the house. Hon Abayomi promised to contribute his little quota to the development of Ikorodu local government council as a whole.
Recall that the recently proclaimed house has been enmeshed in leadership crisis, between two of its members, Hon Gbenga Awobajo and Hon Oshodi, a.,k.a Gino.
Meanwhile, the intervention of the APC leadership at the local government has finally ended the stalemate as the legislators finally settled for a consensus candidate, Hon Issa Abayomi from ward G.
