Tributes have continued to pour in from different quarters in honour of the Patriarchs of the Fadugba-Ogunlewe Royal Family of Igbogbo Kingdom.
The tributes are coming on the heels of the 76th and 50th Remembrance Anniversary of Late Amos Olugbosi and Late Oba Festus Molaja Ogunlewe, the first Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom.
The Fadugba-Ogunlewe Royal Family last week held a week-long commemorative remembrance anniversary for the late icons, climaxing with the foundation laying ceremony for the two units of 100-Bed Dormitories in memory of Late Amos Olugbosi and Late Oba Festus Molaja Ogunlewe at the Lagos State Civil Service Model College, Igbogbo.
Delivering his Royal Address at the event, the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo, Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali commended the Fadugba-Ogunlewe Royal Family for following in the footsteps of their late Patriarchs through selfless contribution towards educational development or Igbogbo town and its environs.
Oba Kasali spoke through the Balogun of Igbogbo, Chief Jeleel Adeshola Oduntan who led a contingent of the Adeboruwa-in-Council to the event.
His words, ‘Our Late King, Oba Festus Molaja Ogunlewe and his brother, Late Amos Olugbusi played significant roles in the educational development of Igbogbo Kingdom and we are happy that their descendants are following in their noble footsteps’.
‘This school where we are today is one of the many developments the great men we are celebrating today attracted to Igbogbo town. The fact that we have many Igbogbo indigenes, even aged ones who are well educated is a testimonial to the good works of the Fadugba-Ogunlewe Patriarchs and we will forever remain grateful for their impactful lifetimes’.
The monarch further lauded the memories of the two legends for building legacies that unborn generations are benefitting from.
Concluding, Oba Kasali charged all well-meaning individuals and families in Igbogbo town and Ikorodu Division in general to emulate the good legacies of the Fadugba-Ogunlewe Royal Family by leaving lasting legacies that would outlive them and benefit upcoming generations.
