Ipakodo Community, the Gateway Kingdom to other major communities in Ikorodu Division is set to play host to prominent political bigwigs and very important dignitaries across Ikorodu Division for the Grand Finale of the 2023 Ipakodo Day and 5th Coronation Anniversary Celebrations of Oba Basiru Aremu Sotonwa, FNSE the Sekumade of Ipakodo Kingdom.
The dignitaries are expected to play very crucial roles in different aspects of the week-long event which started since Monday, 2nd October.
While Hon Babajimi Benson is expected to Chair the grand finale event, Senator Adetokunbo Mukhail Abiru will be the Chief Launcher at the event, which will feature the Formal Unveiling of the architectural model design for Oba Sekumade Palace Pavilion, a legacy project meant to commemorate Oba Sotonwa’s 5th Coronation Anniversary.
Also, the duo of Honourable Commissioner for Agriculture, Ms Abisola Olusanya and Special Adviser to the Governor on Rural Development and Chieftaincy Affairs, Dr Nurudeen Yekini Agbaje will grace the event as Special Guests of Honour. They will also be joined by Ikorodu Constituency 1 and 2 State Lawmakers, Hon Ogunleye Gbolahan Adetokunbo and Aro Moshood Abiodun, among others.
Similarly, a former Lagos State Head of Service, Alh Babatunde Tajudeen Rotinwa, who also doubles as the Chairman of The Exclusives and his Oriwu Club counterpart, Engr Amid Adekunle Oduborisha would be the Fathers of the Day.
A former Lagos State House of Assembly Member, representing Ikorodu Constituency 2 who once served as an Acting Commissioner in the state, Hon Chief Mrs Adebimpe Akinsola is the Mother of the Day at tomorrow’s event.
The Executive Chairman of Ikorodu West LCDA, Hon Sulaiman Kazeem Olanrewaju will be playing the host at the annual community celebration event.
The event promises to be fun-filled as popular Fuji Musician, Alh Sulaiman Adio Atawewe will entertain dignitaries and guests with his unique brand of Fuji music.
