The Agba Akin of Ikorodu Kingdom, Otunba Ayodele Elesho jas called on all well-meaning Ikorodu Division lovers and stakeholders to pray for the success of the newly appointed Accountant-General, Mr Babatunde Ogunjimi, an indigene of Ikorodu town.
Elesho’s call for prayers came on the heels of the torrents of congratulatory messages flying around on the appointment.
While welcoming the goodwill messages, Elesho, who is a former Commissioner for Information in Lagos State noted that, he needs prayers more than congratulatory messages to enable him succeed in his tenure of office.
He wrote, ‘All of us as Lovers of lkorodu Kingdom and indeed lkorodu Division should not only congratulate this gentle man, but to start to regularly pray for his success in office’.
‘He was the person that used his official connections and influence to bring the National Immigration Passport Office to lkorodu Division.
He deserved our maximum support and fervent prayers at all times, so that he can do more for our Division with his new office as the Accountant General of the Federation’, he added.
The elder-statesman however concluded his admonition by extending his own warm Congratulatory Message to the new AGOF.
‘This is to rejoice with and congratulate an amiable lkorodu son on his appointment as the Acting Accountant General of the Federation, Alhaji Shamsideen Ogunjimi and pray for the confirmation of his appointment soonest.
