The once sleepy Agura Kingdom in Ikorodu Local Government has become a beehive of activities since the commencement of activities marking the First Coronation Anniversary Celebrations of the Alagura of Agura Kingdom, Oba Ahmed Olakunle Ogunnaike Ogunderu kicked off on Tuesday.
The Week-Long Activities commenced on Tuesday, January 16 with traditional activities and was followed by football competition among youths of Agura Kingdom.
On Thursday, 18th January, the activities continued with Health Walk anf Free Medical Outreach and Distribution of free eye glasses, in partnership with the Lions Club.
Tomorrow Friday, 19th January, Oba Ogunderu will be distributing notebooks to public school pupils in his domain, in commemoration of the event.
The Coronation Anniversary will climax on Saturday with the Grand-Finale and Reception where the first class monarch will host government functionaries, political office holders and distinguished guests within and outside of Agura Kingdom, Ikorodu Division and Lagos State in general.
A major highlight of Saturday’s event is the unveiling of the model design for the proposed Ultra-Modern Alagura of Agura Kingdom Palace building.
Popular Fuji Musician and Police Officer, Alh Adeyinka Ishola, a.k.a Askari is billed to entertain guests at the event.
Oba Ogunderu ascended the throne of his fore-fathers in November 2022 and had his coronation on January 7th, 2023 after observing the traditional rites at Ipebi.
