Few days after the APC primaries and the presentation of LASIEC form to its principal, Hon Wasiu Adeshina as the APC flagbearer for the July 24 local government election in the State, WADESH campaign group has issued a press conference to appreciate party members and the other aspirants that participated in the last Saturday’s exercise for their steadfastness and sacrifices.
Addressing press men, on behalf of Hon. Wasiu Ayodeji Adesina, Comrade Adeleke Akadiri said, ‘we sincerely and respectfully appreciate our GAC fathers, Leaders, political office holders, Councillors, Wadesh Team, the entire party members, Iyaloja, CDC, CDA’S, Arewa Community, Ndigbo, South South and Muslim /Christian Leaders in Ikorodu’.
He also thanked Royal fathers and Baales, members of NURTW, RTEAN, TOAN and the good people of Ikorodu Local Government for their support.
He also commended the party members for turning out en masse.
‘It was a bolt out of the blues for those who attended the party primaries across the 7 wards of Ikorodu Central, we are overwhelmed by the massive turn out of members who demonstrated enthusiasm to cast their vote for Hon. Wasiu Adesina for 2nd term. This is an indication that our aura are compatible with the masses, we thank you all’ he said.
He added that, ‘Hon. Adesina is encouraged by your conviction to trust and support his dream and developmental agenda to entrench a paradigm shift in socio-political economic development of Ikorodu to become an enviable Local Govt in Lagos state in particular & Nigeria in general’.
‘Indeed, Hon. Adesina has been positively advancing the trajectory of Ikorodu heritage which he envisioned and working towards the actualisation of the dream for the benefit of the people of Ikorodu’.
Continuing, he said that, ‘There is no gain saying that the massive turn out on Saturday 29th of may is a demonstration of the trust and confidence the good people of Ikorodu has in the ability of Hon. Wasiu Adesina to deliver on his mandate’.
‘With this, Hon. Adesina Is encouraged to invent more innovative programs that will have direct impact on the masses. His determination is to deliver on his mandate is unwavering’ he assured.
Akadiri also thanked the other aspirants for for he termed their steadfastness, while promising them an all-inclusive government in his second term in office.
‘Hon Adesina is assuring all aspirants of his commitment to run an inclusive government. His door is open and he is willing to embrace noble ideas that can be beneficial to the people’.
Speaking further, he said, ‘This is just the first stage. Now that our party has spoken , we all know that the party is supreme and the decision of the party is sacrosanct and should be respected’.
He however urged all ‘to join hands in ensuring victory at the general election for the progress of our party & the betterment of Ikorodu Local Government’.
He equally appealed to all stakeholders to join hands with the Chairman toward building a peaceful community that will work for all and that all can be proud of.
‘He concluded by assuring, ‘that Hon Wasiu Adesina’s second term in office will witness unprecedented consolidation of the developmental projects that were embarked upon in the last four years’.
