An end has finally come to the protracted crisis between the Ayangburen of Ikorodu, Oba (Engr) Kabir Adewale Shotobi and the Executive Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government, Hon Wasiu Adeshina.
This development was confirmed yesterday at the Ayangburen Palace, when the Council Chairman, Hon. Adeshina presented an official car to the revered first-class monarch.
The car, is a brand new white Toyota Highlander, 2024 Model.
Adeshina presented the car to the Ayangburen, in company of a former Chairman of the Lagos State Local Government Service Commission, Alh Babatunde Tajudeen Rotinwa.
He was also joined by the Secretary to the local government, Hon. Lateef Afinnih, some Councillors and a host of senior Council staff.
The official car was received by the Salu Apesin of Ikorodu, Chief Awolesi, on behalf of the Ayangburen of Ikorodu. He was supported by the Iyalode of Ikorodu, Chief Mrs Folake Shokunbi and Apena of Ikorodu, Chief…
In his brief remarks at the presentation, Adeshina noted that himself and Oba Shotobi have resolved their differences as father and son.
He stated that the car was presented to the Ayangburen as a form of honour and in order to further enhance the monarch’s effectiveness in the discharge of his role.
The Council boss noted that the brand of car (Toyota) and white colour was deliberately chosen to befit the Royal status of Ayangburen of Ikorodu.
He thanked Alh. Rotinwa and Engr Oduborisha, both of whom he said facilitated the peace meeting.
Alh. Rotinwa subsequently performed the cutting of the tape for the vehicle while Adeshina presented the car key to Chief Awolesi who represented Ayangburen. The Monarch was said to have been away on an official assignment.
Chief Awolesi, expressed gratitude to the Council Chairman, on behalf of Ayangburen. He equally showered prayers on the Council boss for honouring the Monarch with the official car.
Apena of Ikorodu, Chief… led the prayer session for the new car with the support of Iyalode and some Erelus in attendance.
