News just reaching our news desk has confirmed that Comrade Olalekan Billiamn Sulaiman-Oba has been elected as the Chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN).
NYCN is the umbrella body of all youth groups and organisation in Nigeria.
Oba polled a total of 102 votes, to defeat his closest rival, Comrade Kuku who came second with a total of 95 votes.
Others are Gbenga Nathaniel 46 votes,
Amusu with 19 votes and
Olusi, who polled 60 votes.
Lekan Oba was declared winner of the keenly contested election by the Electoral Committee Chairman, Com. Ismail Abidemi Odulana.
The Lagos State NYCN Transitional Committee Chairman, Com. Kayode Odunuga subsequently inaugurated Comrade Lekan Oba as the new Chairman, Lagos State NYCN alongside his executive members.
