COMMENDATIONS AS COUNCIL BOSS PRESENTS OFFICIAL CARS, BUSES TO MANAGEMENT STAFF, NULGE, REINSTATES COMMITMENT TO STAFF WELFARE, PRODUCTIVITY

The Executive Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government, Hon Wasiu Adeshina has again demonstrated his commitment to staff welfare and productivity with the presentation of official cars, buses and operational vehicles to some Senior Management staffs of the Council yesterday.

Speaking at the event, Adeshina said, ‘Today marks a significant milestone in our journey to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of our Local Government Administration’.

‘We are proud to present these vehicles to our management members, empowering them to serve our communities with greater ease and impact. The vehicles are not just a symbol of our appreciation for hard work and dedication, but also a tool to enable the management team to serve the people better’, he added.

‘The vehicles will assist the team reach out to the nooks and crannies of our communities, respond to emergencies, and deliver services more efficiently’, he explained.

Adeshina expressed confidence that the modest offer will boost the management morale towards further achieving greater success within and outside the local government.

The Council boss also disclosed that his Administration has recently presented two revenue buses to the Area office to boost their effectiveness.

‘As we present these vehicles, we also seize this opportunity, to bid farewell to our outgoing management members.
Your contributions to our local government have been invaluable and we appreciate your commitment and service. Your tireless efforts have laid a solid foundation for our progress, and we are grateful for your contributions’, he concluded.

He however urged the beneficiaries of the vehicles to use it judiciously and make best use of them.

At the 2-in-1 Send-forth event, Adeshina however lamented that he will miss some of these diligent and dedicated staff who have been posted out of this great Local Government.

A former NULGE Chairperson, Mrs Mabodu was one of the past staff who received an award, a car and other gift items for her diligence during her service at the Ikorodu Local Government secretariat.

Other outgone staff celebrated and recognised, include; Mr. Adeyanju Taofeeq Adeshola, Mr. Ajanaku Fatai, Mrs. Dada Oluwatoyin Mutiat, Mrs. Abayomi Olaide Rashidat and Mrs. Amokunmosa Solape.

Also, Mr. Adesanya Kazeem Abiodun, Mrs. Lawal Olaide Nimota, Alhaja Tijani Mutiat Alake and Mrs. Bilesanmi Moyosola were also honoured.

Other beneficiaries were, Mrs. Ogunsanwo Iyabo, Mr. Saka Musiliu Olashile, Mrs. Idris Shakirat, Mr. Philip Adedeji Folahanmi, Mr. Adekunle Odunayo, Mrs. Lateefa Olayinka, and Mr. Alli-Balogun Ademola.

Incumbent Council Manager, Mr. Shipe Shanu, the Council Treasurer, Mrs. Olufunmilayo Ojikutu, and Heads of Budget, Audit, Legal, and Agric Departments also received an official vehicle each, for enhanced operations and quality service delivery.

The Ikorodu Local Government Chapter of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) also received a Toyota Hummer bus for fostering peaceful staff relations with the Council Management.
