The joy of over 500 indigent families across Ikorodu Division yesterday knew no bounds as they received food support from the I-Care Foundation Food Bank, sponsored by Rep Babajimi Benson.
The food distribution exercise was in line with the federal lawmaker’s monthly food support to vulnerable members of Ikorodu Federal Constituency.
Yesterday’s distribution came barely 24 hours to the Easter Celebration, an annual celebration among Christian faithfuls, climaxing the 40 days lent fasting period and the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.
Consequently, many of the beneficiaries expressed joy and delight, describing it as a timely intervention.
Others expressed gratitude to Benson for not allowing their family members celebrate Easter on empty stomach.
