There has been endless outpouring of encomiums on the 2017 Ikorodu Oga Development Association’s (IKODASS) Merit Award winner, Hon SOB Agunbaide for his exemplary attributes and community development initiatives in Ikorodu community.
In the words of His Royal Majesty, Oba Kabir adewale Shotobi, ‘SOB Agunbiade truly deserves the merit award being conferred on him by IKODASS today. He has been able to distinguish himself in several areas of community development. The latest was the revival of the Asa carnival, one of our cultural heritages that have been long forgotten. He singlehandedly revived it and hosted the first ever joint Asa carnival in the history of the entire Ikorodu division’.
Also speaking on the sideline of the award presentation to one of their owns, Hon Rotimi Olowo, stated that, ‘the award is well deserved. Agunbiade is a consummate hardworking man, highly committed. When you see Agunbiade, you have seen reliability. I have known him for the past 11 years, he is a man I call an all-rounder. He is a man of many parts’.
Hon. Desmond Olusola Elliot, a Nollywood actor and film maker turned politician, who represents Surulere constituency in the Lagos state assembly, added, ‘I’m very honoured to be associated with Hon Agunbiade. He is an astute politician, a veteran per excellence; he is a father in the house. He is a true Nigerian. This is just the beginning of many laurels to come for a man I call Uncle Sanai.
