Eko Club International continued its outreach to vulnerable residents in Lagos by distributing food palliative in Onola area Lagos island and also donated essential medical equipment to Massey Children Hospital Lagos island.
Hon. BJ Agoro, President of Eko Club International Houston, delivered a heartfelt address, recognizing and appreciating the efforts of Eko Club International members.
His words, ‘I want to recognize and appreciate all the Eko Club International members that are here today, led by Hon. Saheed Olushi, the President, and Vice President Hon. Danmola Olajide.”
He noted the presence of honorable senators, representatives, and dignitaries, expressing gratitude for their support.
He said, ‘All the Honorable members of Eko Club International, thank you for coming. Eko Club US in Houston, thank you for coming. And ladies and gentlemen around here.’
He emphasized the significance of the event, noting, ‘Today marks an opportunity for each and everyone of us to understand what our people are going through and how we can help, influence, change, and resolve desires in our community.’
Shortly after, hundreds of food packs, containing raw food stuffs were shared to the vulnerable residents of Onola community in Lagos Island.
Eko Club Int’l President, Jon Olushi explained that the team decided to come back to the community with the food palliative after providing Free health services to them on Monday.
Some of the beneficiaries of the palliative could not hide their joy shared their feelings with Ikorodu Oga Radio correspondent who monitored the exercise.
‘I am overwhelmed with gratitude and appreciation for the members of Eko Club International,” said Mrs. Fausat Hassan, a beneficiary of the organization’s medical mission and food palliative program’.
She said, ‘We were informed that they were coming from abroad to provide these services.I was able to see a doctor on Sunday, and today I received the food palliative’.
Mrs. Hassan expressed her deepest appreciation for the organization’s kindness and generosity. :I pray for all members of Eko Club International, may God bless and reward them abundantly for their good deeds’.
Mrs. Dupe Iginla, a grateful beneficiary of Eko Club International’s Food palliative, also shared her heartfelt appreciation for the organization’s selfless efforts.
‘The program is a good one,’ she said. ‘I am so thankful to all the members of Eko Club International who left aside their personal commitments to come and help us’.
Mrs. Iginla further prayed for the growth of the organization, while wishing them a safe return back to their that they return to their homes abroad.
Another beneficiary, Mr. Olowolagba Salaudeen expressed his heartfelt appreciation for the organization’s selfless efforts.
Mr. Salaudeen acknowledged the significance of the mission, stating, ‘This is a very big mission, and they must have spent a lot’.
He also offered a heartfelt prayer for God to reward them and their generation in multiple folds for their gesture.
