Yesterday, Saturday 19th April started like every other day for five constituent members of the Ikorodu Federal Constituency.
However, unknown to them, a big surprise was lurking in the corners, as Member, representing Ikorodu Federal Constituency in the House of Reps, Rep Babajimi Benson had a pleasant surprise for them.
By noon, the five constituents who walked into the Constituency Office of the federal lawmaker without a car left for the homes in their own cars, courtesy of the amiable legislator.
This gesture, which is coming for the umpteenth time and has become a regular feature of the Chairman, House of Reps Committee on Defence caught the visibly elated beneficiaries and many who witnessed the presentation of the car gift unawares.
The Executive Chairman of Ikorodu West LCDA, Hon. Sulaiman Kazeem Olanrewaju and Iyaloja-General of Ikorodu Division, Dcns Busola Isikalu who were among dignitaries that presented the cars on behalf of Benson both commended the amiable federal lawmaker for always putting smiles on the faces of his constituents through various people-centred programmes and initiatives.
One of the beneficiaries, Adeyemi Benson expressed shock and appreciation for the thoughtful gesture from the caring heart lawmaker.
‘This is a surprise gift because I never expected it. I pray to God to bless my Father and Leader, Rep. Babajimi Benson. May his hidden prayers be answered’.
