For the second time in less than three months, the Chairman House of Reps Committee on Defence, Rep Babajimi Benson has parleyed the leadership of the All Progressives Congress across the six Local Council Areas in Ikorodu Federal Constituency.
Benson, while addressing the gathering stressed the need for collaboration between elected political office holders and the constituents for good governance.
He added that, feedbacks and inputs from all stakeholders was an important ingredient needed for developing people-oriented government policies and programmes.
The federal lawmaker equally appreciated the stakeholders for showing support for the administration of President Bola Tinubu-led Federal Government, while assuring them of the President’s commitments to his Renewed-Hope Agenda.
He concluded by thanking the party leadership for their unalloyed support, while promising them of his continued dedication to the delivery of good governance and democratic dividends to every part of Ikorodu Federal Constituency.
Earlier in his opening remarks, the Director-General of I-Care Foundation, Mayor Deen Sanwo-Ola pointed out the importance of citizens engagement, thus encouraging the party Chieftains to take advantage of the meeting to make their voice is heard and their inputs count in good governance.
The party Chieftains, led by the Ikorodu Division APC Chairman, Hon Tijani Olasunkanmi commended Benson for hosting the stakeholders engagement. He equally appreciated Benson for attracting monumental infrastructural projects to Ikorodu Federal Constituency.
Other notable party Chieftains in attendance were the Lagos East Senatorial Women Leader, Mrs Wonuola , LGA and Ward Excos across Ikorodu Division six Local Council Areas.
