
History was recorded in Sagamu on Thursday, 3rd April as the Akarigbo and Paramount Ruler of Remo Land, Oba Babatunde Adewale Ajayi (Torungbuwa 2), installed Prince Tajudeen Adebola Akinyemi Ajabiogofa as the Olori-Ilu of Fojege-Ajabiogofa Town in Sagamu Local Government of Ogun State.
The installation of the Olori-Ilu by the paramount ruler was a culmination of years of agitation by sons, daughters and stakeholders of Fojege-Ajabiogofa for a substantive ruler for the community, to drive rapid development.
The joy of hundreds of sons and daughters of the community from within and outside Sagamu that thronged the Akarigbo Palace to witness the historic event was evident as they danced and jubilated.

Many of them were dressed in a combination of white uniforms and purple aso-oke fabric, befitting of the royalty synonymous to the event.
The entire Akarigbo Palace was thrown into wild jubilation as Oba Babatunde Adewale Ajayi formally caps Prince Tajudeen Adebola Akinyemi and presented him with instruments of office to the admiration of all in attendance.
Oba Ajayi further charged the new Olori-Ilu to provide leadership, engender peace, unity and progress among all residents and stakeholders of the entire community.

Shortly after, Olori-Ilu Tajudeen Adebola Akinyemi was treated to the Gbedu traditional drum dance by the Akarigbo Palace Gbedu drummers while attendees watched their new Olori-Ilu unique dancing steps.
A major highpoint of the historic event was the traditional procession of the new Olori-Ilu across major traditional spots across Sagamu towns as led by the Ajiroba Akarigbo, Chief Shina Ogunyemi.
The event climaxed with the formal presentation of Prince Tajudeen Adebola Akinyemi Ajabiogofa to the entire Fojege-Ajabiogofa sons daughters and the entire Ifesowapo Joint CDA comprising of Fojege-Ajabiogofa Town and other adjoining communities by the Ajiroba Akarigbo at the homestead of the new traditional leader at the Akinyemi-Ajabiogofa compound, Itunsokun Sagamu.

The new Olori-Ilu, Prince Tajudeen Adebola Akinyemi Ajabiogofa performed his first official responsibility as the traditional ruler of Fojege-Ajabiogofa by showering blessings on the entire community, sons, daughters and stakeholders alike.
The historic event was witnessed by prominent Chiefs across Sagamu, including the Lisa of Sagamu, Chief…., Aminishan of Oko who is also a prominent member of the family, Oba Babatunde Odunayo, and Olotu Om’oba Akarigbo, Chief Allison among others.
It is instructive to note that, Fojege-Ajabiogofa Town was where the Akarigbo-Ogbonyari, also known as Osonusi passed the night with members of the Osugbo cult and other kingmakers on his way to Orile-Offin from Ikorodu, when he was chosen by Ifa Oracle as the next Akarigbo, after the demise of his predecessor and younger brother, Akarigbo Anoko.
