In fulfilment of hi promise to distribute Ramadan Iftar package across all Muslim communities in Ikorodu LG and LCDAs, Hon S.O.B Agunbaide, Majority Leader of the Lagos State House of Assembly has made good his promise, by extending the Ifatr package to the Muslim community in Ikorodu local government.
Recall that, Hon S.O.B’s team had delivered similar packages to the Muslim communities in Ikorodu West and Ikorodu North LCDAs few days back.
Speaking on behalf of Hon Agunbiade at the presentation, Hon Jimoh Azeez noted that, ‘we were instructed by Hon Agunbiade to deliver these Iftar packs to the Ikorodu Muslim community. We have delivered similar packs to the Muslim communities in Ikorodu West and North LCDA before coming here. We are here today to make presentation to our brethren here in Ikorodu local government’, he stated
Azeez Jimoh further explained that ‘These packs contained rice, garri, spaghetti, sugar, noodles, salt, vegetable oil and eggs’, he added.
A special package was also presented to the Ikorodu Muslim leaders, namely Sheikh Imam Sheriff Olowooribi, Chief Imam, Ikorodu Central Mosque and Ikorodu Division in general and Sheikh Imam Yahaya Oshoala, Chief Imam, Oriwu Central Mosque.
Explaining the rationale behind the special package, Jimoh stated that, ‘these package are special gifts to Ikorodu Muslim leaders from Governor Babajide Sanwoolu and he has directed that they are delivered to the two leaders by Hon Agunbaide, hence this presentation, which is quite different from Hon. Agunbaide’s Iftar package’, he explained.
Receiving the packs on behalf of the Ikorodu Muslim Community Association, Coordinator of Ikorodu Muslim. …., Alh Musbau Rotinwa expressed his happinness and commended Hon Agunbaide’s expression of love to the Ikorodu Muslim community. He also prayed for the blessings and protection of God on Hon. Agunbiade and his team.
Ikorodu Oga Radio was also reliably informed that the distribution of the second phase of Hon. S.O.B Agunbiade’s Covid-19 food relief package will soon commence to further cushion the effect of the Covid-19 lockdown on residents of Ikorodu community.
