HUNDREDS OF INDIGENT IKORODU DIVISION RESIDENTS RECEIVE FOOD PALLIATIVES FROM REP BENSON’S I-CARE FOOD BANK AHEAD OF SALLAH CELEBRATION

The forthcoming Sallah Celebrations would be a worthy one for many indigent residents of Ikorodu Federal Constituency, as the Rep Member, Ikorodu Federal Constituency Hon Babajimi Benson has given out over 500 food bags to vulnerable members of his Constituency.

Rep Benson gave out the food bags, dubbed ‘Apo Aanu’ on Saturday, through his I-Care Food Bank monthly free food distribution exercise.

Yesterday’s distribution was in line with the Foundation’s tradition of cushioning the effect of poverty and hunger among residents on a monthly basis.

Rep Benson, speaking through one of his aides, noted that this month’s food distribution was held ahead of the Sallah Celebrations in order to ensure that no member of the Ikorodu Federal Constituency celebrates the season on empty stomach.

He equally charged them to continue to pray for the peace and progress of Nigeria, especially during the Eid-El-Kabir celebrations.

Many of the beneficiaries who were selected from different local governments and Local Council Development Areas of the Division expressed gratitude to Rep Benson for his good gesture to them.

Rep Benson launched the I-Care Foundation Food Bank in 2016 and he has reached out to thousands of indigent families since the programme commenced almost seven years ago.
