Still basking in the euphoria of its 3rd Anniversary Celebrations, the Ikorodu Division Peace Initiative IDPIL is set to break the ground for the building of a N100 Million Naira Mansion for the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo, Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali.
This gesture was announced yesterday by the Chairman, IDPIL Board of Trustees, Chief Adewunmi Ogunsanya, SAN on the sidelines of the presentation of 40 KVA Generator and three split unit air-conditioners to the Igbogbo Passport Office.
‘The IDPIL is also making a promise today. We are committing ourselves to building the Kabiyesi’s residence’, he said.
Ogunsanya, who also doubles as the ‘Baba Oba of Igbogbo’ noted that this gesture was partly to demonstrate the commitment of the body to the development of every aspect of Ikorodu Division.
He equally maintained that the Monarch deserved a befitting private residence, hence the gesture.
Dignitaries were further stunned as Ogunsanya announced that the building construction would be starting by next week Monday, 10th June.
‘From Monday next week, IDPIL, under the able control of Otunba Abiru, will commence the construction of the residence of the Alaiyeluwa of Igbogbo. We are committing a minimum of N100milion for the construction’, he promised.
Ogunsanya however used the opportunity to charge the monarch to identify any community project that would be of benefit to the community for the IDPIL to undertake.
A visibly elated Oba Kasali thanked the Odofin and IDPIL while praying for more of God’s blessings upon his life and the lives of all those dedicated to the cause of the IDPIL.
