A few weeks to the expiration of the tenure of the current IKODASS Executive, led by Mr Rotimi Erogbogbo, a former Deputy Chairman of the body, Alh. Fatai Kolawole Olayiwola Ogunfodunrin has declared his intention to run for the office of the Chairman of Ikorodu Oga Development Association (IKODASS).
Olayiwola, who served as the Deputy Chairman during the administration of Otunba Ganiyu Olusegun Abiru between 2017-2021 formally made his intention known on Saturday, shortly after the Inauguration of the Electoral Commitee, during the Annual General Meeting of IKODASS on Saturday.
The Vice Chairman of Ikorodu Chamber of Commerce and Industries (LCCI) distributed his campaign brochure to many of the critical stakeholders and attendees at the meeting, signalling his formal declaration.
The brochure also contained his letter of intent, captioned, ‘Letter of Intent to Contest for the Office of the Chairman of Ikorodu Oga Development Association (IKODASS).

Dear Ikorodu stakeholder(s),
I humbly write to request your support for my emergence as the next Chairman of Ikorodu Oga Development Association (IKODASS).
My name is Alh. Kolawole Olayiwola Fatai, a native of Ikorodu from the Oke-Yesufu Ogunfodunrin Compound in Ijomu and Adifa-Kuti Family of Aga respectively.
I strongly believe that, with my background as a retired Customs Officer and business man of almost 20 years, I possess the requisite experience and passion required to serve the good people of Ikorodu as the next IKODASS Chairman.
It may interest you to know that, I have previously served IKODASS as the Deputy Chairman, under the dynamic leadership of Otunba Ganiyu Olusegun Abiru, from 2017-2021.
This rare opportunity has afforded me the privilege to understudy the knitty gritty of this great association and how we can make it better, going forward.
It is in the light of the above that I am offering myself for the service of our great community, Ikorodu in this capacity.
I am counting on your robust support towards making this dream a reality, for the benefit of all Ikorodu sons and daughters as well as residents alike.
