The Executive Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government Council (LGA), Honorable Wasiu Ayodeji Adeshina has presented 100 office tables and chairs to various departments of the council as his administration clocks 100 days in office.
Speaking at the official presentation in which he also sent forth redeployed staff of the LGA with various gift items, Hon. Adeshina noted that he was delivering on the campaign promises he made to take welfarism of the staff members paramount, and provide the LGA staff members with a conducive working environment.
He said: ‘Today is another symbolic day in the life of this new administration as we clock exactly 100 days in office today. It does give me a great pleasure to fulfil yet another of our administrative pact with staffs of the Ikorodu Local Government. This presentation of chairs and tables is part of our lined up of programme for the commemoration of our100 days in office’
He equally noted that, to commemorate his 100 days in office, his administration has chosen to focus on soft projects like empowerment, job creation, sport development, structural review of the Local Government activites, entrepreneurs and business support in jetties. Others are road projects, school rehabilitation and fixing of basic needs of health facilities.
Highlighting his administration’s achievements, he noted his administration has completed the renovation of the secretariat that had been pending for more than 40 years, also provided drinkable water amongst other things.
Hon Adeshina also thanked the management staffs and all that had supported his administration in achieving it’s campaign promises.
Amajor highlight of the event was the sent- forth of some top management staff redeployed by the Local Government Service Commission with presentation of gifts.
They include Mr. Kunle Dipe former Council Manager, Mrs Oluyide Feyi Precilia former Council Engineer, Mr. Ojikutu Olamide former Council Treasurer, Mrs Nneaye Rosemary, former Head of Information unit. Others are Mr Banire Olaolu, former Head of Procurement Unit, Mrs Sherifat Anifowoshe, Mr Lawal Rafiu Abdul.
Hon Adeshina also used the opportunity to formally welcome the new Council Manager, Mr Martins Odupitan and the new Council Treasurer, Mr Alli Balogun to Ikorodu local government.
In a chat with Ikorodu Oga Radio, NULGE Chairman Ikorodu Local Government, Mrs Adenike Mabodu appreciated the council boss for his support for the welfare of staff. She also called on the the staff members to reciprocate the Chairman’s gesture by being diligent in their work.
