For the umpteenth time since he assumed office, the Executive Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government, Hon Wasiu Adeshina has flagged off the distribution of Free UTME form to hundreds of indigent students of the Council area.
Adeshina gave the announcer on the side lines of the official flag-off ceremony of the Itun-nla and Ajina road project.
The Council boss noted that the initiative was aimed at
supporting students from indigent families in the local government by bridging the gap between them and their academic dreams.
He stated that the exercise has become a yearly ritual of his government, towards promoting educational excellence among the youths.
Giving insight into the eligibility criteria, Adeshina explained that the form was open to all indigent students, irrespective of social, political or religious affiliation.
While some beneficiaries were already picking the form, date for the official distribution exercise would be announced in due course.
