Barely 48 hours to the much-anticipated Iwuye Ceremony of the Iyaloja-General of Ikorodu Division, Dcns Chief Mrs Busola Elizabeth Isikalu, the Executive Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government, Hon Wasiu Adeshina has presented formal Certificate of recognition to the Ikorodu market leader.
The presentation of Certificate to Iyaloja Isikalu has finally put paid to every controversy that initially trailed her emergence last year.
Speaking on the presentation, Adeshina noted that it was done in fulfillment of his promise in the heat of the Iyaloja-General crisis, where he promised to present Certificate of recognition to any of the candidate that is recognized and capped by the Iyaloja-General of Nigeria, Chief Mrs Folashade Tinubu-Ojo.
Following Isikalu’s recognition and capping, the Council Chairman stated that he has therefore made good his earlier promise.
Speaking on the presentation of the Certificate, Isikalu expressed gratitude to God for putting paid to all forms of controversies surrounding her emergence and for restoring peace to the fold of Ikorodu Division market leaders.
She also thanked Adeshina for being a leader with a large heart for embracing her and other Ikorodu Division market leaders.
Present at the certificate presentation event were the Secretary to Ikorodu Local Government, Hon Lateef Afinnih, APC Chairman, Hon. Waheed Animashaun and Ikorodu Division APC Women Leader, Alh Rasheedat Bello.
Others were Supervisor for Works, Hon. Murishiku Adeniyi, Supervisor for Health, Hon. Kazeem Showemimo, Supervisor for Revenue, Hon. Lateef Oyefusi among others.
