The good people of Ikorodu Federal Constituency are in for a major surprise mega road rehabilitation project flag-off in few weeks time.
Though, the amiable Federal lawmaker was not specific about the location or size of the promised road construction, he assured that it would shock all residents when he finally flags-off the project.
This revelation was made on Saturday, by Rep Babajimi, Chairman House of Reps Committee on Defence when answering questions from Ikorodu Oga Radio on the sideline of the October food distribution for the vulnerable members of the Ikorodu Federal Constituency.
The monthly free food distribution was held in commemoration of the 2023 World Food Day.
Rep Benson said, ‘You know you call me Julius Berger, in the next few weeks, you are going to hear some heart-shaking commencement of road project that you can’t believe will ever happen. It is a very big one, but for now, it is in my pocket. Watch out for it’.
He equally assured of rehabilitation of all State Government roads across Ikorodu Division by the Lagos State Government once the new administration of Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu settles down in office.
‘We are working together. The Governor is aware about the state of the roads. I have also informed him about the 80-Bed hospital that is due for commissioning. You know it is a new administration that is barely few months in office. For instance, the Commissioner for Works is only one month in office. They are currently taking stocks of the roads and I can assure you that they will start work on them very soon’, he promised. .
